Wool has a rich and remarkable story of resilience, dating back to the Romans. This versatile, temperature regulating, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, odour- inhibiting, natural fibre has incredible properties.
We believe in using wool as a force for good by working with like minded brands, designers and businesses globally to innovate, experiment and push the boundaries, evolving wool to meet contemporary needs and re-imagining its uses from field to fibre, and beyond.
Our Story of Innovation
Since 1888 we’ve been on a journey to drive positive change. Using our experience, knowledge and innovative approach we are re-imagining the journey of wool.
Having established The Woolkeepers in 2018, a means of sourcing the best quality wool, we have continued to raise the standards of British wool, whilst recognising and paying farmers a fair price for their work on animal welfare, safety, land use, environmental protection and biodiversity.
Adding to our list of market firsts, we are now proud to launch first and only Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) farm group in the UK and Europe, creating new opportunities for UK wool growers and introducing RWS Woolkeepers® wool to the global market.
Partnering for Good
The journey towards Regenerative Agriculture is at the heart of our mission, creating impact beyond our fabulous wool products. We recognise we can only do this in partnership with others.
We have joined forces with Dr Vincent Walsh, a leading supply chain innovator and expert on large scale decarbonisation programs.
